We’re the 10th most expensive state to live in, with the 5th highest income tax rate in the U.S. Oregonians pay the highest share of their income in taxes compared to any other state. Add to that the 5th highest gas prices, 5th highest food costs, and 6th highest transportation costs. No wonder the cost of living is the #1 issue for us.
